RULES TO LIVE BY...
BRIAN'S GUIDELINES
1. Be honest about your decisions and refrain from falsely accusing others to cover up your own transgressions. Resist the urge to seize the role of "victim" just because it frees you from being a responsible adult.
2. Savor each moment completely and to its highest potential. Live in the present – Know that this event, this opportunity, this chance to connect soul-to-soul may not happen again. Be safe, sane and consensual all the time!
3. Own your choices and refuse to blame others for your economics, your mind set, your health or your self-worth. Instead, hold yourself accountable. Use lessons learned to make smarter choices. Create options where none seem to exist.
4. Innoculate yourself against mediocrity. Why settle for "so-so" when you are capable of "extraordinary"? Question the status quo.
Embrace your power to change your world for the better one conversation, one idea, one decision and one moment of unsolicited positivity at a time.
5. Give yourself permission to live beyond your stereotype and programming, without regret. Give to, and take from the positive energy and endless miracles that surround you.
6. Life is too short to hold grudges. Forgive your enemies, critics and accusers; Just learn to keep them at arms length.
7. If you want to exact revenge on people who wrong you, kill them with kindness. If that doesn't work then do what it takes to succeed despite their efforts to see you fail.
8. Shower yourself and the people you meet with positivity and respect, and you'll almost always get it back. Don't waste your energies on rude, chronically negative people. Trust me, it is not worth it!
9. You are here to find a reason for being here. What will your reason be?
10. When in doubt pick the simplest route. Life is complicated enough without you adding unnecessary steps.
11. Do something about the things that bug you or shut up. If it’s important enough to moan and complain over it should be important enough to fix, improve, reduce, solve or eliminate in your own special way.
12. Much of what happens in life is outside of your control. Therefore, it’s not what happens to you but how you respond to what happens to you that really matters.
13. Though not everyday is a picnic, for the most part, life rocks.
