The Ultimate Train the Trainer Workshop

"Master Trainer Brian Norris reveals his secrets for creating and delivering world-class training — including how to deal with the annoying guy in the back row who keeps interrupting you and the 'Crackberry Addict' next to him."

Anyone can get up in front of a room and speak to an audience. But it takes a special person to command that audience's attention for eight hours and to get them to walk away with knowledge that can be immediately applied. Audiences demand training that is relevant, engaging and entertaining. Are you able to meet those demands?

Can you deliver the type of training that makes people sit up and pay attention? Are you passionate and compelling enough to make people wonder "Where did the day go?"

Or, are you just another stuffy, overqualified talking head with a bunch of facts and policies that no one will ever follow anyway? The kind of trainer who makes audiences wonder, "When is lunch?" and "Is this thing over yet?"

You know better than anyone that it takes a lot of time and effort to create programs that help people perform at peak levels. During this amazing training and presentation skills program, available as a one or two day onsite or as a series of breakout sessions during your next conference or association meeting, you'll learn from Brian Norris, as he shares the strategies he and other top training experts use to make training memorable and effective.

Throughout Brian's How to Be a Positively Passionate Trainer workshop, you'll receive dozens of shortcuts and proven techniques to add to your trainer's and presenter's toolbox. You'll walk away a dynamic trainer, capable of generating consistent results and getting positive accolades with every program you develop.

From creating your training content and fostering the ideal training environment to breaking through resistance, cliques and comfort zones, How to Be a Positively Passionate Trainer addresses the real needs and challenges of training in the 21st century.

Optional 2nd Day Option

An optional (but strongly recommended) second day gives attendees the chance to put ideas into practice. At the end of the first day, Brian will assign a training and presentation assignment that takes into account many of the techniques and strategies taught. Attendees will have one-day or more (the second training day does not have to be consecutive) to take their actual training material and fuse it with what they've learned.

On the second day, each attendee presents portions of his or her training program in front of everyone. Brian will record each presentation with a video camera, play them back and offer instant coaching feedback to tweak and improve delivery. He will look for humor, interactive, exercise, clarity, vocal variety, pacing, audience leadership and coaching opportunities. Attendees get to take their videos with them to review and learn from.

This additional day option is a phenomenal learning tool for novices and seasoned pros alike. Application is the key to meaningful training. Nothing is better than giving attendees the opportunity to practice what they've learned and to get instant feedback from a Master Trainer.

Who should you invite to participate?

Front-line trainers, franchisees, vendors, contractors, Training managers and assistants, personnel directors, HR professionals, course developers, managers, subject matter experts, marketing and communications pros and sales associates, department heads, team leads, advocates, educators and those who want to improve their training, development and presentation skills.

Feedback from recent graduates:

"As a subject matter expert, I hate presenting in front of large audiences. It scares the hell out of me. Still, Brian really helped me feel comfortable getting out of my comfort zone. I appreciated the positive feedback from Brian on my presentation. He's a great coach too. He's knowledgeable of his audience, his subject and he's funny. His presentation skills are excellent."

"I thought Brian's training style was most helpful. It's natural and real. I also appreciated that the course focused on both presentation skills and training skills. Both disciplines don't always go hand-in-hand. I learned a lot!"

"This was a great investment! All of it was beneficial. Brian's content really addressed my needs as a trainer, presenter and manager."

"The best part of Brian's 2-day program was the open discussion, the continuous give and take between trainer and audience. I loved learning about all the personalities and how they impact training and interaction. Brian's openness was refreshing. He gave many different perspectives and so many great tools for managing a training environment. This is a fast moving, enjoyable class."

"For me, being able to learn about my own training fallacies and how to correct them for future presentations was priceless. You can't beat being able to actually do a presentation and receiving instant feedback on what's working and what can be improved. It's great to be able to put Brian's ideas to immediate practice."

"I appreciated the coaching on presentations. It's rare to find someone with his insights on how to give good presentations. Brian has a lot of knowledge and passion! This was a good seminar!"

"Learning what type of speaker I was, and how it affects my training was most beneficial. Brian gave solid how-tos on how to speak and how to use PowerPoint correctly. Every topic was relevant."
