JULY

Today's Thought: Do one thing differently today. Whether it's sleeping on the other side of the bed, trying a new position with your lover, eating with your opposite hand or just changing how you take your coffee, you might be pleasantly surprised how good it feels to try something new.

###

Today's Thought: There will always be trauma, strife and tragedy in this world. Some of it is undeserved & unfair. Some of it, we bring upon ourselves. All of it though proves that no matter happens, life goes on (details be damned). I find a certain peace of mind in the universe's unapologetic continuity.

###

Today's Thought: Immediate, honest feedback is worth its weight in gold. Welcome it, listen to it, & learn from it.

###

Today's Thought: Ginger or Mary Ann? Both. Chunky Monkey or Heath Bar Crunch? Both. Guinness or Bailey's? Both. Deep tissue massage or 4-hand massage? Both. When in doubt over which of two appealing options to pick, simply choose BOTH! It's more fun that way...I promise.

###

Today's Thought: I'd rather be a well-paid ass massager, than a perpetual ass kisser. :-)

###

Today's Thought: just as God used sound to usher the universe into existence so too can we use our own voices to keep our bodies whole. Our voices, even the sound of our breath, can dislodge our deepest pains.

###

Today's Thought: I believe that political correctness is the biggest contribution to mental illness and chronic pain. We spend so much time filtering our words, suppressing our thoughts & emotions, and tip toeing around easily offended people. It all ends up making us utterly dysfunctional. And the only ones who really benefits are the purveyors of drugs & spirits.

###

Today's Thought: If this is all a dream, then I choose to dream big and unabashedly. I choose to be an adventurous participant and an active creator. I choose to dream under the premise that people are generally good, that passion is our birthright & that almost anything is possible. Care to join me??

###

Today's Thought: Why do say & believe the things you say you do? How deep can you go to defend your answers? Try this: Make a statement of "fact" and then ask yourself "why?" you believe it to be true. After your 1st answer, ask why you believe your response. Repeat. See if you can answer why at least 5 times.

###

Today's Thought: Some days, it's okay to be relatively thought-less; just not every day. So today i choose not to over think things, to just chill and stay at the surface. Let's save "deep" for another day. Pretty train. Pretty buildings. Pretty people. :)

###

Today's Thought: Seriously. Let it go. Nothing (or no one) is so precious that you should forsake your sanity or right to be happy to hold on to it.

###

Today's Thought: If you put as much energy into your current work and your current relationships as you put into "getting back" at people who dissed you, jilted you, or pissed you off in general, then your life will be utterly amazing.

###

Today's Thought: Exorcisms set out to rid the "possessed" of their demonic spirits by using chants, tools and rituals. Deep tissue Massage sets out to rid the "possessed" of their chronic pain, mental fatigue & emotional distress by using hands, fingers and elbows to go deep into the muscles and fascia to release negative energy. Different methods >>Different words >>same outcome.

###

Today's Thought: The couple that gets their pedicures & eyebrow waxing together stays together. :p

###

Today's Thought: Be just as thankful for the things you don't have as you are for the things & people you do have in your life. With every new acquisition, new relationship, or new commitment, also comes a whole range of new responsibilities & expectations; some of which you might be unable to live up to at the moment. So be thankful for your life as it is right now. You are blessed.

###

Today's Thought: When it comes to connecting with the Creator we need no intermediary. The same is true for connecting with each other. Take turns sharing what's on your mind. Then be quiet & just listen. Really really listen.

###

Today's Thought: You can be old at age 20 or young at age 90. The difference often comes down to mobility. So, stretch your muscles daily. Stay flexible! It only takes a few seconds. If you have time to take a shower, you have time to stretch.

###

Today's Thought: The need to be right is a sure-fire way to die from the inside out. Especially when it consumes you, day in, day out, 24/7. When you invest all (or even most of) your energy and resources into the need to be right or to promote a singular dogma or methodology, you have nothing left.

Its like the effect of going without water or without nutrients, the body suffers. State your case, get off your soap box and move on. If someone disagrees with you, shrug it off and continue with your life.

###

Today's Thought: There are no strangers, only sexy acquaintances you have yet to fantasize about. ;)

###

Today's Thought: At the end of the day, all that really matters is that you are at peace with the decisions you've made and the risks you taken.

###

Today's Thought: If ever you feel your day is starting off rather poorly, get back in bed, surround yourself with pillows (if your spouse, lover or fwb is unavailable), close your eyes & re-boot by going back to sleep for 10 minutes. At the end of your re-boot, get off on the "better" side of the bed and proceed with your day.

###

Today's Thought: Happy 4th of July. Let today be the day you completely free yourself from caring what others think about you. Celebrate your right to believe what you want & to stray from conventional wisdom whenever you see fit.

###

Today's Thought: The beautiful thing about reality is that you can create any truth you want, at any moment. All you have to do is be willing to live your reality as if it were completely true, even for an hour or two at a time. The only difference between fact and fiction is which story you choose to believe, and which one you're willing to act on.

###

Today's Thought: When recovering from any addiction/indulgence/temptation, "Cold Turkey" is a nice thought but seldom realistic. Instead, abstain in increments. Think of it as A to H, then H to O, then O to Z.

It makes the transition much smoother, less painful & more sustainable. And get frequent massages or Reiki sessions; they fix almost anything! ;-)
