JUNE

Today's Thought: Take comfort in knowing that while you might excel at a job or excel at each of the myriad roles you take on, you are far from irreplaceable. So if you choose to take an extended time out, to radically change course & try something new, it's okay. The world will go on, and so will you.

++++

Today's Thought: We really can have anything we want; for a price. It has nothing to do with selling our soul or our liquidity & has everything to do with the value put into our excuses for why we can't have, shouldn't have, or don't deserve the things we want. Our excuses, mixed with being too scared, too proud or too lazy to start from scratch, can keep us in "wishful thinking" mode forever.

++++

Today's Thought: The passionate spirit experiences few regrets.

++++

Today's Thought: Clear sky. Light breeze. Strawberry pie for breakfast. These three things kind of sum it up. They're all I need to know that today's going to be a great day.

++++

Today's Thought: While I am not one for revenge, I think that if you are given the precise, measured chance to exact revenge swiftly (& thus be done with it) you should do it. A 2nd chance may never come.

++++

Today's Thought: Our time on the planet is so brief. Revel in every opportunity to participate in the chaotic uncertainty and primal curiosity that makes us so wonderfully human. It's what we did between the moments of extreme pain and unfathomable pleasure that we'll remember most even when we're gone.

++++

Today's Thought: Kindness is like good massage oil. When applied liberally, it lets you work out even the toughest, roughest, and hardest to get to spots. It reduces friction and eases tension. In the end, it makes everyone involved feel so much better. So try a little kindness. A little goes a long way.

++++

Today's Thought: Focus are who you are at this moment, not on who you were months, years or decades ago. Whether you "were" a good mom, "were" a good spouse, "were" a good friend, "were" a good <insert former occupation here> is irrelevant & not worth revisiting. Instead, focus on present actions & today's options & current ambitions; It's all you can control!

++++

Today's Thought: if you really want to screw with the people you don't like, go up to them and ask about their day (& listen), or give them a hug or pat on the back, or buy them a beverage, or compliment them in front of others. Kindness is really good at getting under the skin of those who seldom give it or receive it.

++++

Today's Thought: We are a protected species, with angels by the millions looking out for us and intervening on our individual behalf, at our request. Now, if we can just be kind and sincere to one another. If we can allow ourselves to love and be loved intensely, without regret…Suddenly, so much more becomes possible.

++++

Today's Thought: If you're completely content with your life, that's cool. But, when you stay in one place too long or go through life without challenging yourself or debating your long held assumptions you tend to begin to rust from the inside out. So be bold(er), think and do something different! Reinvent yourself at will.

++++

Today's Thought: Sometimes, happiness is as simple as a freshly cleaned bathroom.

++++

Today's Thought: 9 things you can do to feel happier and less stressed....Sit less. Stretch more. Smile often. Breathe deeper and more deliberately. Stay connected to the people who bring you joy. Accept that at any moment you could be wrong. Know that control is just an illusion. Cuddle whenever possible. Make massage your addiction of choice.

++++

Today's Thought: The day I can't say "sorry" is the day I should shoot myself. Remember that forgiveness is the heart of all healing and a source of the healer's effectiveness. That makes the words "I'm sorry." or "I apologize." or "Please forgive me." or "I forgive you." among the most powerful phrases in the universe.

++++

Today's Thought: "Happy Monday!" is NOT a contradiction of terms. I really like Mondays. Seriously! Can't understand why so many people bemoan Mondays as if they are a curse. If you drank or ate or sexed too much over the weekend who's choice was that? Monday's?! I think not. You're still alive, so stop whining already.

++++

Today's Thought: Refuse to let any person or any event (past or present) suck away your right to be happy.

++++

Today's Thought: Whenever you feel as if you've "lost your way", consider the possibility that every detour, every diversion, every abrupt standstill is a teaching moment. Ask yourself what needs to be unlearned, relearned or shared. Who around you might be the teacher or messenger, the person who you were sent to instruct or counsel?

++++

Today's Thought: Boredom is the spirit's foremost adversary. Do a little something different every day to prevent boredom from swallowing you whole.

++++

Today's Thought: Embrace your power (and right) to live life fully. Immerse yourself into your work, your relationships and into doing the things you think most often about. Life owes nothing to those who revel in mediocrity.

++++

Today's Thought: Before you can get to do the really fun, creative, change-the-world stuff, you often have to do the by-the-numbers, what everyone else is doing, boring stuff first. So shut up, quit with the excuses and diversions, and do it anyway.

++++

Today's Thought: when we get lazy for too long we become stuck like a zit without a head waiting to see the light of day. It's why we need the occasional adversary or painful event. They squeeze us, force us to move up & out; creating a clear opening where none existed. Soon, the pain melts into bliss & we are better than we were.

++++

Today's Thought: Sometimes, four ibuprofen is all it takes to make the world a slightly better place.

++++

Today's Thought: Ye who are without sin likely leads a lackluster life.

++++

Today's Thought: A loving touch & kind words can heal your body & bind your past from hurting you. So allow yourself to give & receive touch frequently.

++++

Today's Thought: Be open to receiving & sending kind words in the form of thank yous, feedback & sincere compliments. Schedule a few moments every day for some self adoration & appreciation.

++++

Today's Thought: Before you can be somebody, heal somebody, love or be loved by anybody, you must be comfortable with your own body!

++++

Today's Thought: What a beautiful day! Enjoy it while you can because life changes on a dime.

++++

Today's Thought: Within these walls, as you rest of this warm table, know that you are safe. Beyond palpations and trigger points, this journey into healing is sacred. So breathe when I ask you. Follow where I lead. As the music plays and the candles glow, feel your body go limp and your pain disappear while your shaman restores your body and mind.

++++

Today's Thought: Sound is one of the most healing forces in the entire universe. Sing a loud often. Bang on your pots and drums. Make music with your wine glasses. Hum your own tune; one that makes every molecule in you and around you dance. Let no one silence you.

++++

Today's Thought: Whenever you need a quick pick me up, or are feeling a little down, reach for a small decadent ball of red velvet cake, dark chocolate cake or moist carrot cake. If cake therapy leads to weight gain substitute sex for cake and see what happens.

++++

Today's Thought: Write these three letters on your wrist; FMK. It stands for Feed My Karma! Throughout your day catch yourself going through the motions. Ask yourself 1) What are you doing to fill your spirit with good vibes? 2) Are you surrounding yourself with cool people who care about you and respect you? 3)Are you living off the innate bliss of this moment? 4)Are your actions making you & others happy for all the right reasons?
