THE TRUE GOD
By Brian Norris, ©2006

Positively Passionate, even unto the end of the world! Who is the True God?

In my belief system, the True God is present in everything and everyone. Societies have mistakenly worshipped gods created in man's image for thousands of years. The True God doesn't look or act like man and is beyond our petty emotions and insecurities.

For starters, the True God does not endorse theocracy, or for that matter any man-made political system. God is without ego or jealousy (unlike the god of Ancient Rome and Greece or of the Old Testament). Rather than requiring superficial worship, the True God expects us to show reverence by helping and loving each other without expecting reciprocity.

The True God takes no part in the yelling and theatrics of those praising just to be heard and seen by their peers, congregations and public at large. The True God requires no ritual or temple or mosque or church. The True God is available and accessible every second of every day.

Although human language tends to refer to God as a Father or Him, The True God is in fact beyond sexuality and gender. God is completion and chaos. God is contained in every molecule of everything seen and unseen, known and unknown. Even terms like yin/yang, mother/father the Alpha and Omega are barely able to capture the truth of God.

That’s because the True God is too big to receive a name, too omnipresent to be confined to human emotions or the boundaries of human language. The Quran says, “God existed before the creation. God does not have a before or an after. God does not have an above or a below, a right or a left, an in front of or a behind, a whole or a part.” (Surat ash-Shura, 11)

The True God created a universe that helps those who help themselves. The True God created human and spiritual protectors (some call them angels) to inspire us, protect us, and guide us. These protectors are available to those humble enough to ask and receive that support. Faith in the seen and unseen is often required. In the coming years, faith will be more vital than ever. Just because we can explain how something works doesn’t make it any less a miracle.

The True God takes no side in petty human affairs. Neither does God show favoritism nor begets sons or daughters to die for the sins of humanity.

Contrary to the teachings of certain organized religions, no intermediary is required to ask for forgiveness. If we live a life that constantly strives to do the right thing and to be accountable for our actions, thoughts and words, then we will do the right thing more often than the wrong thing. And if we mess up, we must reconcile with the people we hurt and seek their forgiveness.

Our immediate punishment is that while the people or society we do wrong against may forgive, they do not forget. The wounds we cause through our words and actions can take an eternity to heal.

Still, those who teach that we are innately evil are misled. We (humanity) are good people capable of making good choices. Our history also proves that we are capable of great harm when lead to believe self-serving doctrines. The True God creates no devils to tempt us or to make us commit evil. We alone are guilty and accountable for our actions.

Some people, under the guise of goodness choose to do bad things and they should be punished. But their transgressions do not represent the genetic predispositions of the entire human race. That’s because God created a process that creates you in spiritual perfection.

The Kingdom of God and Heaven on Earth

Those who survive and live through the Great Change will hear, see and act on the edict from the True God who even now commands us to "Stop being and start doing." The peace that follows will create the conditions for the Kingdom of God to become a reality, and for the veil that separates this life and the next to become transparent.

“Kingdom of God” acts as a metaphor to describe a state of bliss and peace, perpetual energy, passion and joy. No thrones or trumpets or kneeling. The Kingdom represents a world where the presence of God is with us at every level of energy regardless of whether we are in our physical bodies or not. This is what Jesus referred to as "Thy Kingdom Come" 2,000 years ago.

Some see this kingdom after reading or hearing a few words. Others see it after a near loss. The majority though, lacks the passion, desire or inertia to experience God's deep knowledge, non-judgment, warmth and positivity. They need more than a gentle prodding. They require extreme events (tangible proof) to wake them from their walking slumber.

It's like an ear of corn. For the next phase of humanity, entire nations of people will have their outer husk forcefully ripped from them to waken their senses and help them to feel and believe in the unbelievable.

As a people, we get addicted to our possessions, and fill with maddening envy of other people's things. We get lazy in our attitudes about helping others and ourselves. As a result, we often need to be shocked into experiencing the amazing reality of heaven on earth. The destruction of things and deaths of millions will peel the blinder's from our eyes and free us from being so utterly needy and hooked on the trappings of the material world.

What happens & where do we go when we die?

Death is merely an opportunity for the soul (the eternal you) to continue its journey, as we are spirits having human experiences. Your physical body is a temporary vehicle designed to allow your soul – or divine energy – to exist in this reality for as long as the body functions (we should take care of our bodies by controlling what we put into it, expose it to and how we exercise it!).

The journey may also require that you re-enter this physical realm in a new body. The journey may require that your divine energy form act as a protector to the people still alive (friends, family and strangers alike). Your soul, which is immortal, may assume both roles several times throughout time. Or, it may instantly ascend into an eternal commune with God.

Different types of energies send out different frequencies. Just as we classify energy as Radio, Microwaves, Infrared, Visible, Ultraviolet, X-rays, and Gamma rays, your soul is a continuation of the energy spectrum.

Once released from the body, you move to a different rung on the energy spectrum, to a frequency where you can commune with God free from the interferences created while living in this reality.

Each experience your soul goes through adds to the frequency at which you operate and makes your energy signature stronger each time. This strenghtening makes it easier to connect with the universal consciousness, the people you are meant to protect or guide and your ability to connect soul-to-soul with the various people you meet in this life.

The experience or closeness you have with God in the next life is determined in part by how you lived in the physical realm first. Put another way, your proximity to the ultimate energy – God’s presence – is established through the life you live and the people you help in this realm.

The emotions, the decisions, the lessons, and the outcomes of every action and thought are in someway imprinted onto your soul, creating a one-of-a-kind frequency or signature. This unique signature contains a virtual record of your life. This signature and corresponding frequency determines the space between God and you. There’s no reserved seating in the next life, meaning countless souls can occupy the same frequency.

In this life and the next, the space between Heaven and Hell is measured by our proximity to God and our awareness of God’s proximity to us. Under these guidelines, Heaven can be defined simply as the presence and awareness of God. Hell is the absence of the awareness of God. Operating at a higher frequency (in this life and the next) brings us closer to God.
